🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that the technology behind our sister project, MESCH, lead by the team at Loughborough University, has won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Smart Grid (icSmartGrid) 2025!

🔋 The paper, titled ‘Designing and Integrating a Battery-electrolyser Energy System for Communities in Sub-Saharan Africa‘, highlights the technical developments both the MESCH and LoCEL-H2 Project in deploying battery-electrolyser micro-grid systems in off-grid communities.

🏆 This award recognises the whole team’s hard work in advancing these technologies and showcasing the potential of hydrogen to support off-grid communities. We’re grateful to the icSmartGrid team for this recognition and to our partners across the world who have made this achievement possible!
