As part of the LoCEL-H2 project’s dissemination activities under Work Package 8, we are pleased to share that HOPPECKE Batteries recently presented a poster at the Kraftwerk Batterie conference.

The poster, “Evaluating the Benefits of Battery Management System Integration in Modern Lead-Acid Battery Applications,” highlights the development of a modular, cost-efficient Battery Management System (BMS) for lead-acid batteries. The research demonstrates how advanced monitoring, diagnostics, and equalisation charging can improve battery reliability, extend service life by more than 20%, and support compliance with the upcoming EU Battery Passport requirements.
