Latest Test of the Containerised Battery–Electrolyser System at Loughborough University
The LoCEL-H2 Project team at Loughborough University has successfully completed the latest containerised battery–electrolyser system and carried out a test of the hydrogen-powered stove. The bacon sandwich test has passed!
This achievement represents a milestone for the project, demonstrating the full cycle of hydrogen generation and use including the manufacture, installation, and safe operation of the cells, to hydrogen collection, compression, storage, and finally: clean cooking.

The complete system will be used on site in sub-Saharan Africa, where it will provide clean cooking fuel and reliable power for rural communities.
A huge thank you to everyone across the LoCEL-H2 Project consortium who helped make this milestone possible. Each step brings us closer to delivering affordable, sustainable energy solutions where they are needed most ⚡
