The LIVE WIRES event, taking place 11–12 March 2026, will feature keynote discussions, collaborative workshops, and interdisciplinary dialogue on the future of energy infrastructures, sustainability, and social justice.

On 12 March, discussions will focus on how energy transitions intersect with gender empowerment, sustainability, and climate justice, followed by a collaborative workshop exploring infrastructures, digitalisation, and social change. These conversations directly align with the LoCEL-H2 project’s mission to develop inclusive, community-centred energy solutions for off-grid regions, combining renewable microgrids, advanced battery storage, and hydrogen production technologies while studying the social, economic, and gender impacts of energy access.

We encourage colleagues, researchers, and stakeholders interested in the social dimensions of energy transitions to join the event either in person in Naples or remotely. Events like LIVE WIRES highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in shaping equitable and sustainable energy futures.
