We are pleased to share the EnergyLab \u2013 Short Winter School, an educational initiative bringing together students, researchers, and institutions to promote a culture of sustainable energy in the inland areas of Cilento, Italy.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The initiative was developed within the Institutional Communication Planning<\/em> course of the Degree Program in Public, Social, and Political Communication at the Department of Social Sciences, University of Naples Federico II, in collaboration with ENEA. Its central aim is to raise awareness among younger generations about the energy transition through the creation of Energy Workshops (Officine dell\u2019Energia).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

These hands-on workshops function as DIY laboratories where participants explore renewable energy technologies such as photovoltaics, agrivoltaics, biomethane, and wind energy. By combining practical activities with educational pathways, EnergyLab encourages students and local communities to engage directly with sustainability, innovation, and energy culture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The project goes beyond technical learning. Inspired by similar successful initiatives implemented in other European countries, the Energy Workshops aim to drive cultural change at the local level, helping communities address the challenges of energy transition and sustainable development. Through collaboration between ENEA experts, university students, environmental associations, energy agencies, municipal administrations, and local stakeholders, the initiative creates a valuable platform for dialogue between academia, institutions, and communities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The event also featured an exhibition of design materials curated by the Interaction Design Laboratory of the Co.De Degree Program (Professors E. Attaianese, I. Caruso, P. De Joanna, C. Langella), in partnership with the \u201cM\u2019illumino di meno\u201d<\/em> initiative promoted by the RAI Radio 2 programme Caterpillar<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

The initiative benefits from the contribution of the LoCEL-H2 Project, which supports the energy transition in off-grid communities in the Global South, demonstrating how education, innovation, and community engagement can work together to build more sustainable energy futures.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
