We are very happy to announce that Loughborough University<\/a> has received the Hydrogen Award for Outstanding International Impact for the innovative battery-electrolyser!

The award was presented by Professor Kevin Kendall during The Hydrogen Conference<\/a> at Aston University<\/a> last week, where Dr Elizabeth Ashton<\/a> delivered a talk titled ‘Rethinking lead-acid batteries for low-cost green hydrogen production.’<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Professor Dani Strickland said: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to receive this recognition from the Hydrogen Awards. It reflects our commitment to growing capability in clean energy innovation and building global partnerships that deliver real impact. This low-cost battery-electrolyser produces 99% pure green hydrogen while using 99% recyclable materials, and requires no rare-earth metals.

Deployment is coming soon: the technology will be rolled out at pilot sites as part of LoCEL-H2 Project<\/a> and its sister project MESCH<\/a>. The device forms part of a complete system which generates renewable electricity and green hydrogen from solar power, storing energy to meet both electrical and cooking needs in remote communities.
