LoCEL-H2 Project – Powering Adaptation: How Tiered Rural Electrification Supports Climate Resilience in the Global South
Join us for the second in the series of our LoCEL-H2 Project webinar series:
Powering Adaptation: How Tiered Rural Electrification Supports Climate Resilience in the Global South
by Reesha Arshad of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
In this talk, we address how much improvement in energy access, based on the World Bank’s Multi-tier energy access Tracking Framework (MTF), is needed to build climate resilience of vulnerable communities in the Global South.
We will explore the benefits of decentralized microgrids with prosumer behaviour, and how such a system, as part of the LoCEL-H2 Project, can lead to climate adaptation and other benefits for vulnerable communities in the Global South.
Reesha Arshad is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Electrical Engineering at LUMS. Reesha’s research focuses on optimal sizing and socio-economic feasibility assessment of solar-powered distributed energy systems with prosumer power sharing.
Learn More about our project directly from the LUMS team, during a concise and focused session designed to fit around the working day.
