LoCEL-H2 at LOLABAT’s final event on 9 September, 2024
We are delighted to take part in the final event of the LOLABAT (LOng LAsting BATtery) project!
Transitioning to renewable energy sources is pivotal in addressing climate change, mitigating the energy crisis, and fostering energy independence across regions. Battery energy storage systems are instrumental in facilitating the integration of renewables into the electric grid. However, enhancing their performance, cost competitiveness, and sustainability is crucial for achieving these goals. Funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, the LOLABAT project aimed to develop a new promising battery chemistry, RNZB (rechargeable NiZn Battery).
Our team members Prof Ivano Scotti, Professor of Sociology of Environment and Territory at the University of Naples Federico II, and Dr Athanasia-Maria Tompolidi, R&I Manager at the Consortium for Battery Innovation, will be presenting our project and sharing their insights during the round table discussion “Powering progress: Optimizing storage systems for diverse applications and effective management in the EU’s evolving energy landscape”.
The event will take place on 9 September, 2024 at RINA Consulting in Rozzano, Italy.
