Rethinking Lead Batteries: Green Hydrogen Production
The LoCEL-H2 Project (or Low-cost, Circular, plug & play, Off-grid Energy for remote Locations including Hydrogen) is a Horizon Europe project that pairs advanced lead batteries with green hydrogen to deliver a new source of clean, reliable, and sustainable energy storage for off-grid communities in Africa.
The heart of the system is the award-winning battery electrolyser, developed in collaboration with Loughborough University, capable of converting solar-generated electricity into green hydrogen and providing both cooking fuel and electrical power.
Learn more about this innovative system from the Loughborough University team, during a concise and focused session designed to fit around the working day – Register Now!
